Cost Should Not Be the Barrier
If you need care but insurance doesn’t cover what you need — or the out-of-pocket cost puts treatment out of reach — the Mind Society scholarship program exists for you.
Scholarships are a program of The Mind Society, the separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit that funds and administers them. This page is the gateway — it explains the program and points you to The Mind Society to apply.
Mind Dojo Therapy is in-network with most major commercial insurance plans. Scholarships supplement insurance: they cover deductibles, copays, gaps in coverage, or full treatment for clients without insurance at all.
Eligible Services
- Adult Reset & Rebuild Program — Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
- The Teen Dojo: Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
- Individual Therapy
- Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
- Trauma & PTSD Treatment
- Select LUX wellness services where clinically integrated
Awards are need-based and reviewed by our admissions team alongside the clinical team that would be providing your care.
The Process

- Reach out to scholarships@themindsociety.org with a brief note: your name, what kind of care you’re looking for, and a short description of your situation. You don’t need to send financial documents up front.
- Initial review. The team will respond within two business days to schedule a confidential phone call — call or text (412) 899-1402.
- Financial review. If we move forward, we’ll ask for basic financial information — enough to confirm need, not exhaustive paperwork.
- Clinical fit. The clinical team confirms the proposed level of care is appropriate.
- Award. If approved, we’ll outline what the scholarship covers and the next step to begin care.
Your Application Is Private
Your application, financial information, and clinical information are confidential. Sponsors who fund the scholarship program do not see your name, your story, or any identifying details unless you choose to share them.
